I recently made a backup (via the option under Account and sync in the settings), as I was switching to a new OS. Unfortunately, when selecting the backup in the new OS, I am greeted with the error message:

This file isn’t working. Try picking a different file.

According to this, my file is corrupted. Is there anything I can do to fix this, or have I just lost all my data? I no longer have access to the profile files in the original OS.

I needed to file a bug report so I went into settings to figure out what version I was on, only to be met with this useless view (see attached).

"About Firefox" contains no information whatsoever about Firefox. Who made this choice, and why? How is "let's show nothing at all on this page" a decision a product has made?

In the previous version, whenever I clicked sync, my browsing history was updated automatically. Why is this no longer working after the recent update?

I always use Firefox on my 2 devices (PC & laptop) and keep them synced. However, after the latest Firefox update, the sync feature stopped working. My Firefox history from the past two days/yesterday on my PC has not been synced or imported to my laptop

the build in VPN is not working anymore: the messages we get are often like "no internet connection". i did use it now for some weeks, but after the last update it stopped working now for some days.

How do I keep my online banking private when using Firefox as my browser? When using Google Chrome as my browser, I use incognito, but I'm changing to Firefox and need to know that my online banking is safe.

Hello Mozilla Support, I am not experiencing a technical problem with Firefox. I am contacting you because I would like guidance on how to properly secure my browsing activity and protect my privacy while using Firefox on my Android phone. I want to make sure my browsing history, personal information, accounts, and other online activity are as private and secure as possible. Please explain the recommended Firefox privacy and security settings and any steps I should take to protect my activity. Thank you.

I have started receiving a secure connection failed error message for a portal log-in website that worked fine for the past 6-7 months (see attached document). Other people in my group use Firefox and Bitdefender to access the portal and none of them are having this issue.

I originally believed the problem to be my anti-virus (Bitdefender) and worked with them to resolve the problems. After trying various solutions including clearing my cache, using private mode and turning off different components of their software, Bitdefender believes the problem is with my browser setting and not their software. I also tried accessing the portal using Chrome in both regular and incognito modes and cannot access the site which would seem to rule out the problem being a Firefox browser problem but contacting Firefox support seems to be the next logical step.

I have been to the Firefox FAQ and saw similar problems with potential solutions - DNS over HTTPS, TLSKEYLOGGING issues, add-on exceptions - none of which worked. I have the most recent version of Firefox and am running Windows 11 home version.

Sometimes if I hit refresh after receiving the error message, the browser will try to connect and I will get a server time out message. If I keep hitting "try again", sometimes the portal log-in screen will appear and allow me to log-in. The key word is "sometimes" since often I just keep getting the server time out message.

Any ideas for me to try from this forum?

Google YouTube embeds itself in my List-All-Tabs Group and hops from Tab to Tab when I close the Tab it has embedded itself into. See the content of the Tab it is embedding itself into. I've written a description in the image. It's very annoying. Thanks!

how ... do I turn off enhanced tracking protection because it's breaking everything? I need my security and this is actively preventing me from acquiring the necessary security apps and accounts I need. This is actively making me less safe. It also won't let me get a different browser

It seems the default for allowing sites to store data locally is backwards (for privacy).

You should be able to set the DEFAULT to "Allow all sites to store data locally FOR THE SESSION ONLY," and then type in the sites that you would like to allow to store data locally for more than one session (or block entirely).

Is there a way to do this? There are not many sites I would like to allow permanent local data storage, so it wouldn't be such a terrible chore to type in their URLs. The opposite is true for sites I would want to allow ONLY FOR the one SESSION - that is a HUGE chore. This appears to be a privacy & security oversight - can you fix this?
